Dubai: Indian housewife Shanthi Achuthan Kutty could not believe her luck when she won $1 million (Dh3.67) in the latest Dubai Duty Free raffle.

The Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion was held on Tuesday in Concourse B at Dubai International Airport, when Kutty – a holder of ticket number 4664 in Series 242 – was called in to claim her prize.
Following the draw, a previous Millennium Millionaire winner was also handed his million-dollar prize.
Hamid Latif Zainel, the raffle winner in Series 241 with ticket number 3958, flew in from Qatar to Dubai, and was delighted to have won.
“I would like to thank Dubai Duty Free for such a memorable day in my life,” he exclaimed.
