Trump arrives in Vietnam for second summit with Kim Jong Un
President Donald Trump waves after he arrives in Vietnam ahead of his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Trump walked down the steps of the presidential aircraft and was greeted by Vietnamese officials before heading to his limousine.
He didn’t speak to the media after arriving at Noi Bai International Airport.
While in Vietnam, he will discuss denuclearization of the Korean peninsula with Kim at their second summit in less than a year.
The two leaders met last June in Singapore.
Kim traveled the 2,800 miles from Pyongyang to Hanoi in an armored train before switching to a car when he and his entourage reached Vietnam.
The North Korean leader, who is already in Hanoi, traveled around the city Tuesday in an armored limousine with a group of bodyguards.
He and Trump will meet on Wednesday and Thursday.
Air Force One left Joint Base Andrews on Monday afternoon and arrived Tuesday evening in Vietnam.
Trump has no public events scheduled for the remainder of the day.
