Yahya Suleiman Mbuthia was acquitted after prosecution failed to prove his involvement
High Court Judge Alfonse Owiny-Dollo on Thursday convicted 8 and acquitted 5 in connection to masterminding the July 11, 2010 Kampala bombings that left 76 dead and scores injured.
Omar Awadh Omar, Yahya Suleiman Mbuthia and Abubakari Batemetyo were acquitted after prosecution failed to prove that they were involved in attacks.
Guilty of terrorism are: Isa Ahmed Luyima, Hassan Agade, Idris Magondu, Mohamed Ali, Habib Suleiman Njoroge and Seleman Hijar Nyamandondo.
The trial of the 13 Uganda, Kenyan and Tanzanian suspects started in March 2015 at the High Court of Uganda.
