It is true that in most parts of the world, presidents as well as ministers are male. But there are some countries in which females are prime ministers or presidents. When it comes to leadership positions, a lot of countries hold themselves on high moral for equality for women hence creating that high gap (which explains the reason why women are highly underrepresented.

For countries like the United States for instance, only 20% of the U.S. congress is made up of women, this is quite shocking considering the fact that 51% of the U.S. population are females.
