Japan-PAC-3 units deployed in Chugoku, Shikoku

Trucks carrying equipment for PAC-3 units arrived at the GSDF’s Kochi Camp in Kochi Prefecture at around 2:45 a.m. Soon after, vehicles carrying the launchers arrived and GSDF personnel checked the equipment. PAC-3 units were also deployed at GSDF camps in Matsuyama; Izumo, Shimane Prefecture; and Kaitaichi, Hiroshima Prefecture.

Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera on Friday issued an order to destroy North Korean missiles. A destruction order has been in place since August last year. However, because PAC-3 deployment locations have changed, the order was issued anew on procedural grounds.Speech
